(NASDAQ: EEFT), a leading provider of secure electronic financial transaction solutions, has opened a new data processing facility in Budapest, Hungary, almost tripling Euronet's capacity for transaction processing in Europe, the Middle East and Africa regions. Euronet has also increased its processing power, resulting in faster response times for users and additional testing systems.

Euronet's European Operations Center (EOC) features state-of-the-art security and protection plans. The EOC and the backup processing center are in separate locations and are connected to two separate power grids with diesel generators for both centers. Should a hardware or software failure occur in the primary location, the system would redirect the processing functions to the backup processing center. Similarly, if a natural disaster occurred, the backup site would be operational with replicated data and redundant networks and operations.

Other features of the EOC include:

• Climate control that addresses the specific requirements of sensitive electronic installations and ensures 7/24/365 operational reliability and efficiency

• Fire protection as well as water and moisture detection

• Reinforced structural design, including raised floor covering to enclose and protect cabling, which contains links to national and international networks and walls that prevent physical intrusion and electronic interference and intrusion as well as seismic shock monitoring

Additionally, Euronet announces the relocation of its European headquarters within Budapest, Hungary to Alkotas utca 48-50, Alkotas Point.
